GRADE A FUSED SILICA SAND
High-Purity Fused Silica Grade A Sand
Clean, high-purity fused silica sand selected for technical ceramics, fused silica rollers, crucibles and advanced refractory products.
Grade A Sand for Ceramic and Refractory Feed Systems
High-purity quartz is fused at high temperature, cooled and graded. The Grade A positioning focuses on a clean granular feed for ceramic and refractory production; final chemistry and size acceptance remain subject to the agreed COA.

Applications

Why Use This Grade
- Amorphous fused silica structure with low reference thermal expansion.
- Granular product format suitable for customer-selected size cuts.
- Approved category-wide physical, chemical and PSD tables included.

Physical Properties
| No. | Property | Reference value |
|---|---|---|
| 1.1 | Composition | SiO₂ |

Chemical Properties — Investment Casting Grade
| No. | Component | Reference value |
|---|---|---|
| 2.1 | SiO₂ | >99.90% |
| 2.2 | Al₂O₃ | <200 ppm |
| 2.3 | Fe₂O₃ | <50 ppm |
| 2.4 | TiO₂ | <20 ppm |
| 2.5 | MgO | <40 ppm |
| 2.6 | CaO | <40 ppm |
| 2.7 | Alkalies (Na₂O + K₂O) | <100 ppm |
Processing note: The finer the powder, the higher the Al₂O₃ may be because the powder is produced by ball milling with alumina balls.
